About me
My journey on this path of healing and evolution began in 1996 when I came down with glandular fever whilst studying for a degree in economics. I was forced to repeat my final year with constant fatigue and dizziness which I know now was the onset of ME/ Chronic fatigue Syndrome. I graduated with honours, and still troubled by my symptoms I began working for a further two years until I decided to go traveling, spending a year in Australia. During this time, working long hours my fatigue became overwhelming, and I discovered that my dizziness had worsened to the extent that it was a permanent fixture. I started to look for help, having visited doctors in both the U.K. and Australia.
I was already aware that there was no cure for M.E. and decided that I would have to find a cure for myself. Having visited herbalists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, I was also guided to the work of Louise Hay which triggered my interest in the power of the mind in overcoming "dis-ease". I was able to complete my travels and returned home with a new mindset and passion for healing and alternative therapies. After spending some time trying to recover I then started working part-time. During this time my current partner of seven years whom I had met in Sydney, moved to be with me from his home town of London. In the two years following a series of events unfolded to change my life forever, this included an accident involving a close family member and a number of other stressful events in my personal life.
This all had the result of making my ME worsen further. It was during this time that I had to learn some serious lessons about life, healing and responsibility for myself and others. The first lesson I learnt was that I was responsible for me - nobody else. I learnt how to become strong- by putting myself first. This has brought me to the place where I am now, in a position to help others.
I am now in a place whereby years of exploring combined with many significant life events have left me with a compassion and understanding for people that goes far beyond what I could have expected if life had been "an easy ride" so to speak. My work is now also empowered by a Guiding Consciousness which is working with me to evolve and uplift the lives of others, allowing me to work on a deep level with clients enabling change to occur in the most difficult of circumstances.
I am qualified in Swedish Body Massage, Emotional Freedom Technique, I hold a Certificate in Counseling Concepts and a Certificate in Personal Coaching. I have trained as an Emerald Heart Practitioner with David Ashworth. I have also attended workshops on Divine Feminine healing, Emotrance and attended a seminar with Esther and Jerry Hicks whose work with 'Abraham' was the basis for the movie 'The Secret'.
About you ?
I have discovered through my work that change happens through intent not by chance, your intent to move forward is the most powerful thing you have on your path of healing. So ask yourself the question do I want to be healed? Obviously- you may reply but true intent is about being prepared to look at the things that scare us or surprise us not just the usual bag of issues we carry around with us. It is at these times when working on a deep level that it is helpful to work with a therapist such as myself, with my consciousness combined with yours we can discover where your next blockage is in the path to evolution and healing.
